The benefits and the atmosphere of the job was exceptional. The associates and mangers were all friendly and very helpful. We all played a big part of Walmart's success everyday. Teamwork was always stressed., which is one of the core values for success of the company.

What I wish was different

Nothing, everything was thought of well. The rules in place made the company run smoothly.

Advice

If you are not mentally prepared for fast pace working, while providing good customer service, the this is not the job for you.

I was at a location without many other interns. I wish I had more interns around everyday.

I was placed in one team in human resources, I would have wanted to learn more about the other HR teams.

The Walmart internship program is a great in-person experience for sophomores or juniors willing to visit the headquarters in Bentonville.

The work was easy and you could easily prove yourself in your work. The work style is fast pace and rarely are you not busy.

Nothing, the job was great and if like a job that feels rewarding I would highly recommend it.

Advice

This isn't a job where you can be lazy, If you are scheduled to work 8 hours expect to work all 8 hours. If you are looking for a super easy job this isn't the job.

The small amount of contact with people to lessen my chances of contracting Covid19.

What I wish was different

I wish Covid19 was never an issue because I prefer interacting with people. I prefer working during the day and sleeping at night, instead of the reverse.

Advice

Be sure to try to get as much stocking done as possible because the more crates you can clear the better the incentives given to the night workers will be.

What I liked

I really liked getting to know a bunch of different individuals, both through meeting my coworkers, and meeting those who were simply trying to do their shopping. It was really fun to help them and get little tastes of their lives, and hopefully make them smile a little bit in the process. It also taught me a lot about being patient with people when they get frustrated, and figuring out how to stay calm. It was a really good experience!
