Human Resources Manager

General Job Description:

CBS 58, part of the Weigel Broadcasting Co. family, has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager. Ideal candidates will have excellent attention to detail, be good with data, have solid written and verbal communication skills and be able to multi-task with the best of them. This person will be responsible for being the sole HR representative on site partnering with the General Manager and department heads but will also work closely with HR in the Chicago office to shape and deliver strategic HR initiatives. Candidates with previous experience working in a creative industry are strongly encouraged to apply.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Act as the sole HR representative to 100+ on site staff

Be able to manage up and coach managers to build their best teams

Your usual suspects for an HR generalist - benefits administration, recruitment, employee relations and other duties as required.

Requirements:

5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience required; experience with ADP WorkforceNow a huge plus.

Previous benefits administration experience strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced knowledge in Excel.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
