Internship - Finance - Washington, DC

THE INTERNSHIP - Finance (Washington DC)
The internship will require a high level of both quantitative and qualitative analysis and activities. Each intern will be responsible for leading an individual project which will be presented to the Executive team at the end of the summer and will receive mentorship from a business unit leader.

We’re looking for interns who can think creatively and analytically, embrace ambiguity and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and have a solution-focused mindset driven by making an impact.

THE ROLE
  • Developing the roadmap for 2021 budget financial model
  • Assisting the Senior Director of Finance with monthly forecasting and reporting.
  • Supporting the development/documentation of standard practices.
  • Complete sourcing & benchmarking Initiatives
  • Managing, tracking and reporting the Key Performance Indicator tracking (KPI)
  • Supporting other ad hoc projects or initiatives, as needed.

THE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration
  • Previous internship or full-time professional experience
  • Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to move between strategic thinking and details

A passion for financial inclusion and access to higher education is a must!

In addition, you should be comfortable working in a start-up environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload and tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, and 80-20 everything.
