Fall ’21 Internship | Organizing & Training Team

Civic Nation is currently seeking an intern for its Organizing & Training team. The intern, reporting to the Senior Director of Organizing & Training, will provide digital, logistical, and volunteer management support for Civic Nation programming. This is an exciting position for someone who is passionate about civic engagement, organizing, and digital engagement.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZING & TRAINING TEAM
The Organizing & Training Hub-Team works with Civic Nation initiatives, grassroots volunteers, and partner organizations with this question in mind—how do we provide people with the attitude, skills, and resources they need to make real impact around the issues that are important to them and their communities? The Organizing & Training Team works with Civic Nation initiatives on volunteer management and ladder of engagement strategies and planning, digital organizing strategy and resources, and learning and training engagement to help people be the most effective they can be in making an impact. The team also helps to incubate new projects and initiatives around different issues and causes. This team sits at the intersection of people, digital, and training.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Supporting the day-to-day project management of Civic Nation’s national training program
  • Assisting on all Organizing programming, including volunteer management, data tracking, training development, digital organizing
  • Aiding with coordination of events, creation of digital content, and research projects
  • Other duties as assigned

YOUR EXPERIENCE 
  • Experience working with diverse communities and individuals with varying perspectives
  • Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills
  • Previous organizing, campaign, or non-profit volunteer experience a plus

COMPENSATION & EXPECTED HOURS
This is a part-time, three-month-long commitment commencing September 8, 2021, and ending December 10, 2021. Interns are expected to work up to 20-hours each week and will be compensated at the rate of $15.20 per hour.
