LHI – Administrative Assistant – La Crosse, WI

Responsible for performing various administrative duties within the Accounting area. These duties include, but are not limited to, filing, making copies, printing and assembling paperwork, stuffing checks and other various organizational tasks as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Filing and maintenance of Accounts Payable payment files.
  • Print, organize and prepare incoming documents for payment processing.
  • Assist with sorting invoices and check stuffing for the weekly check run.
  • Assist with writing and maintaining documents including departmental policy, work instructions, standard operating procedures and reference materials. Review documentation in the DMS.
  • Monitor voicemail and email boxes as assigned.
  • Run and/or prepare routine reports on department performance.
  • Preparation of meeting agendas and notes.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of administrative support
  • Experience with computer skills including Microsoft Excel (ability to create spreadsheets, sort and filter data as well as other office procedures and terminologies)  
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or Higher
  • National Career Readiness Certificate
  • Knowledge of accounts payable practices and procedures
  • Military experience
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to work with a diverse group of people/disciplines at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as detail oriented work with a high level of accuracy and ability to work independently
  • Must have ability to prioritize projects, meet critical deadlines; and multi-task while working in a fast pared environment
  • Must be dependable and a team player
