Support Grants Management Specialist
These are entry level Grants Management Specialist positions on a three-year paced training path to become a Level 1 certified Grants Management Specialist. The work consists of managing the team’s inbox for proposals submissions, researching and responding to questions from program partners and grantees, and managing a complex log to track awards and the award processes. The Specialists will also process no cost and low-funding level modifications and closures, as well as review & upload reports and documents to the financial system in direct support of the entire team and open awards. A candidate who values the importance of quality data will be vital in the role, as the Specialists will produce data reports for internal and external partners using Excel. The program includes developing and maintaining professional relationships with Federal, State, local and tribal governments, educational, non-profit, private, individual and corporate entities as active partners fulfilling the agency mission.
Ideally, candidates will have some experience with grants, are interested in becoming certified grants management specialists, are detail oriented, team-players, have great customer service, and are comfortable with databases and excel reports
