Child Welfare Caseworker - Sign On Bonus

Caseworker- Foster Care Program

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver family-centered casework services to children, families and foster families in order to achieve solutions that promote stability and permanency. Upon completion of an initial assessment of the child(ren) and their families' needs, this team player is responsible for:
  • Developing service plans with biological and foster families in order to address all identified needs for everyone involved.
  • Evaluating children and families' progress toward goals and services delivered to ensure services are meeting the objectives of the family, and are being provided in a culturally respectful way.
  • Documenting all services delivered to comply with agency, state, and federal regulations and requirements.
  • This position is not a desk job. In fact, CYFS caseworkers spend more time outside of the office doing such things as:
  • Providing critical input into the decision making process regarding service delivery and goal setting with families at court hearings and case staffing sessions.
  • Traveling to supervised visits between children and their families and/or transport clients to visits
  • Visiting family home, foster home, day care setting, school, and other appropriate settings to assess progress towards established goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Child Welfare Experience (Preferred)
  • Valid Driver's License and Acceptable Driving Record (Required)
  • 21 years of age and 3 years driving experience with driver's license
  • Completion of DCFS criminal background check (Required)
