Account Executive - Automotive

Capital Newspapers is seeking an Automotive Account Executive to join our talented sales team. This is an outside sales position that focuses on selling multimedia advertising solutions to auto dealers to support new and used car sales.

Capital Newspapers is Madison’s #1 news and information source. Our news and advertising content is read by more than 300,000 consumers each week and our Madison.com website reaches 1.9 million people each month. Additionally, we are a featured partner of CarSoup – a leading aggregator of new and used vehicle listings across the State.

The ideal candidate has sales experience in automotive and/or media sales and is able to present effective advertising programs that deliver results for clients. The Account Executive will be armed with a product portfolio that that provides optimal reach and performance to meet auto dealer sales goal initiatives.

The product portfolio includes newsprint and digital marketing services (including targeted display, search marketing, social and email services). Proficiencies in these areas is a plus.

Compensation is based on annual salary plus the ability to meet sales responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow new auto dealer advertising revenue.
  • Manage accounts for existing and new accounts
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Drive to meet your monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • 2 – 5 years of outside sales experience with proven, measurable results
  • Ability to work in a deadline based environment
  • Reliable transportation is required
