Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will work directly with the Accounting and Finance team to perform daily and monthly financial activities, in addition to specific and ad-hoc projects that arise. He/she should be adaptive and willing to assist the team as necessary and, in turn, learn how to apply their university and professional experience in a practical, fast-paced environment.  

Job Description
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries by maintaining records and files and gathering back-up support.
  • Lead the Accounts Receivable Collections process for the organization.
  • Assist with the Accounts Payable process.
  • Work directly with the sales team to clear any past-due, open customer accounts.
  • Identify and apply incoming cash receipts as necessary.
  • Distribute daily high-level performance reporting to operations team.
  • Prepare monthly invoices.
  • Assist in preparing month-end close schedules, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Spearhead fixed asset management, including identifying and tagging all assets, both historically and moving forward.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 0-3 years experience, CPA preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and learn quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to be adaptive and work independently with excellent organizational and listening skills.
