I liked that it was challenging because I learned a lot from it. I worked on solving a real-world problem that impacts a huge number of customers. In addition, I liked that I used current technologies in the processes.

What I wish was different

I wish it was a semester-long co-op because I would get a solid experience.

Advice

I would say to never give up and keep trying to get the best out of each moment. During my internship, I felt that I couldn't get things working at some point but I kept pushing myself and got rewarded at last.

This job is not for everyone, as it doesn't feel super rewarding. You come in and mostly stock the same things everyday. But don't let that stop you from enjoying your work, as without stockers, no one would be able to get the groceries they need.

My favorite part of working at Walmart is the family-like structure. Walking in to inviting co-workers and customers have my days and hours spent purpose.

I wish I had known about the job earlier, and I also wish employees received more recognition.

Advice

Regardless of where you work or what field you’re in, as long as you know you’re putting in hard work and effort, you should never let anyone’s opinion effect your day, emotions, or work. Take criticism with a grain of salt and let go on the little things that bug you.

What I liked

I worked in online grocery pick up and dairy. I loved grocery pickup because I had the opportunity to meet so many new people and began to understand the inner workings of supermarkers and massive corporations. After 8 months of working as well I was offered a raise and an assistant manager position. I had a different experience every day and learned a lot.

What I wish was different

I had so many different co-workers throughout my time there. People came and went so frequently it was hard to create bonds in many cases. Also with online grocery pickup I frequently had to deal with angry customers about lateness of their order being done, or their orders being wrong. That could be extremely taxing on very busy days, but my managers were always very helpful and would solve any extreme cases pretty quickly.

Advice

A lot more goes on behind the scenes than the average onlooker will know. So many people had so many unique and crucial Jobs that have to flow together in order for the whole system to work.
